Alfred Kirstine Laid at Rest
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 6, at Congregational church for Alfred Kirstine, Pierce businessman who died of a heart attack while at work Wednesday, April 3. The Rev. Ira Wilcox conducted the last rites.
Interment was at Prospect View cemetery with Charles Price, Ellwood Voecks, Gilbert Voecks, Delbert Kirstine, Everett Kirstine and Elmer Kirstine as pallbearers.
Alfred William Kirstine was born May 12, 1905 in Pierce county, son of the late August Kirstine and Martha Voecks. He attended Pierce Public High School. October 26, 1927, he was united in marriage to Wilma Shaffer. They lived on a farm west of Pierce until 1936 when they moved to Pierce and Mr. Kirstine entered the shoe and general repair business.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Glen (Irma) Manzer, New Berlin, Wisc., and Mrs. Leonard (Evelyn) Dowling, Randolph, and seven grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two children in infancy.
