Mrs. Scheer Rites To Be Saturday
Mrs. Minnie Scheer, nee Korth, passed away late Tuesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louie Buckendahl. She had been bedfast for some time.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church. Mrs. Scheer will lie in state Friday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Pierce Memorial Chapel and on Saturday from noon until time of services at Zion Lutheran Church.

Last Rites for Mrs. Scheer
Mrs. Minnie Scheer was laid to rest Saturday, May 1 in Zion Lutheran Cemetery with final services held at Zion Lutheran Church, Rev. Walter Buss in charge. Mrs. Scheer passed away April 27 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louie Buckendahl. Arlan Warneke was organist and accompanied a duet of Mrs. Larry Walmsley and Mrs. Gerald Buckendahl.
Pallbearers were Anton Buckendahl, Richard Buckendahl, Herbert Lenz, Martin Koehler, Ralph Tesch and Helmuth Krehnke.
Minnie Maria Wilhelmine Korth was born June 8, 1885 near Pierce, daughter of the late Wilhelm Korth and Wilhelmine Paul, and spent all of her life in this vicinity. July 27, 1902 she was married to Emil Scheer at St. John's Lutheran Church.
They lived on a farm east of Pierce for many years before retiring to a home in Pierce. Mr. Scheer passed away in 1949.
Mrs. Scheer is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Louie (Irene) Buckendahl. She was preceded by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Robert, William, August and Ernest Korth, and two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Martha) Fischer and Mrs. Ernest (Amanda) Fischer.
