LAST RITES FOR H. HERBOLSHEIMER
Services were held Monday, March 10 for Henry Herbolsheimer, 82, who passed away March 7 at Pierce Manor where he had been residing.
Rev. Jordan Arft officiated at the last rites which were held at St. John's Lutheran church east of Pierce. Mrs. Marlin Zautke accompanied the congregational singing of hymns. Burial was in the church cemetery with Lloyd Herbolsheimer, Arthur Herbolsheimer, Marlin Herbolsheimer, H.W. Herbolsheimer, Eldon Herbolsheimer, and Earl Herbolsheimer as pallbearers. Tomek-Otto Legion Post #72 conducted graveside services.
Henry Frederick Herbolsheimer was born April 1, 1892 to Lucas Herbolsheimer and his wife, Rosina Stanzel. March 5, 1918 he was united in marriage to Meta Koehler at Pierce. They farmed east of Pierce until 1960 when they moved into Pierce.
Mr. Herbolsheimer is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George (Elaine) Ehlers of Hoskins and Mrs. Dean (Delilah) Frank of Verdigre; four sons, Myron, Darrel, Dale and Donrel, all of Pierce; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1967, his parents, a son Lowell, two grandchildren, six brothers and five sisters.
Mr. Herbolsheimer was a veteran of World War I and a member of St. John's Lutheran church.
