My mother gave me her old research from census files years ago, listing Helga Maria Remmers who m. John Dierks -- they had a daughter, Anne Catherine Dierks b. November 22, 1845 who married John Johnson Yelkin in 1863. this couple had a daughter, also named Anne Catherine b. 1867 in Nebraska who was my great-grandmother. I have lots of info from Anne Catherine Yelkin forward to share, including photos and living relatives, but would like to extend back a little further. Some of mom's info also came from the family bible. Tonight I found a record of Hilka Maria Remmers b. 1822 who married Johann Dirks (b. 1813). It listed one child only -- Christena Dirks b. 1856 in Illinois -- if you have any further info, please contact me. donnell
