I am trying to locare burial site of Warren Husted Worden. I don't know much about him accept what I have found on census records and marriage certificate. I am also wondering if Worden Precinct name had anything to do with this family. Can anyone help ?

My great grandfather Warren Husted Worden b. 20 March 1843 Pawling, Dutchess Co., New York married Minnie Porter b. 07 October 1852 Ohio married in Osceola, Clarke Co., Iowa 08 October 1868. I believe they had 9 children: Celestia T. Worden, James Edward Worden b.IA , Dora M. Worden b.IA , Amanda Worden b.IA , Harry F. Worden b.NE , Unice Worden b.NE , Hubert Worden b.NE , Iva Theora Worden b.NE , Mxxxx Worden b.NE

1856 Garden Grove, Decatur Co., Iowa age 13 with parents
1860 Franklin, Decataur Co., Iowa age 17 with parents
1870 Franklin, Decatur Co., Iowa age 27 with wife and first child
1880 Plattsmouth, Cass Co., Nebraska age 37 with wife and children
1900 Tryon, McPherson Co., Nebraska age 57 married 31 yr
1910 Tryon, McPherson Co., Nebraska age 67 farmer
1920 Worden, McPherson Co., Nebraska age 77 widowed
1930 Weldon, Decatur Co., Iowa age 87 divorced

1900 Plattsmouth, Cass, Nebraska Worden Minnie
head Oct 1852 age 47 married OH -- PA with children


In 1900 Warren Worden and Minnie Worden are living in different counties in Nebraska, both still listed as married. He is living next to other Worden relation. In 1910 Warren Worden is still living in Tryon, but now listed as widowed and next door to his sister -in-law who is divorced from his brother Silas. In 1920 he is in Tryon listed as widowed and in 1930 in Decatur Co., Iowa as divorced. Have been unable to find out his burial. WPA records online state

Have you looked up the McPherson Co. book? It is called "facts, families and fiction - Mc Pherson Co. Established 1890" and came out 1986. You will find a copy in the archives at Lincoln /NE and at the library in North Platte, Lincoln Co. NE. I had no time to read all about the Worden family, but there are details on the family and in the name index are given William, Warren, Husted and 15 other firstnames. The most informations seem to be about Luther Audubon Worden, but 3 pages are given for Husted.

From the McPherson Co History book:

Settlers who filed on land during the 1891 to 1904 period included Ira. Lissie, Luther, Walter, Warren, and William WORDEN.

Another reference to the "Husted WORDEN place" says they moved there in 1920.

Cynthia, Luther and Walter are buried in the Miller Cemetary in McPherson County. I don't know where Husted was buried but his parents were both buried in Iowa so perhaps there?
Rosella or Rose Ella Maria was my ggrandmother and the youngest child of Jared Newman WORDENnt and Maria Tacy (Tracy?) DENTON. I show Husted as the third child of eleven.

I have info about your gg grandmother Rosellie Maria Worden and husband William Henry Priest and their 10 children and many other desendants. I don't know how accurate my info is. I would like to verify my information with other researchers. It comes from a variety of sources.
