I am gathering information on Frank WIDERGREN who lived and worked in Newman Grove, NE from 1895-1934. I am interested in making contact with any of his descendants from his marriages to Emily JOHNSON and to Ellen ANDERSON. I have much information to share.

There is a short piece of information on Rose and her parents, F.L. Widergren and Emily Johnson and brother Emanuel in the Newman Grove Centenial Book. This also lists the names of Frank's wives and his children.

Without birthdates and knowing where someone was born and when they came to the U.S., it is hard to determine if a hit on a database fits, but I see a Frans Leonard Vidergren on a Swedish cd called Emibas. Emibas was made from registrations in the Swedish parish to go to a foreign country. It is about 75% complete.

Frans was often Americanized to Frank. Vidergren and Widergren are the same name. Swedes consider V and W interchangeable.
