I just learned from my mother that her father had his own mother committed involuntarily in the early 1960s to the Norfolk State Hospital (or another state facility there--was there another one?). The reason: he wanted her out of her property so he could sell it.

Anyone have any idea where I can find hospital records or commitment actions?

She passed away at a nursing home in Beemer in 1968.
