JoAngela Evans and James S. King were married Saturday at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
The Rev. Thomas O'Brien officiated at the 11 a.m. ceremony. A reception was held at Peony Park.
Honor attendants were Jacqueline Fisher and Kevin Fortina.
The bride, daughter of Joanne Evans and Melvin H. Evans, attended Metropolitan Community College and is president of Protemps Inc.
King is the son of Hazel ""Taffy'' King and the late Thomas J. King. The bridegroom attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and is self-employed.
After a honeymoon in Mexico Beach, Fla., the newlyweds will live in Omaha.

EVANS -- Melvin H., born March 21, 1930, Oneonta, Alabama. Passed away September 13, 2005, following a brief illness. Long times sales trainer and manager for Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society. Under his management, thousands of agents were trained with his insistence on honesty, integrity and accuracy, but always with a touch of humor. Mel was a man of many dimensions and truly one of a kind. He studied psychocybernetics under Dr. Maxwell Maltz and focused on the self image in his motivation sessions. Preceded in death by parents: Leon and Jessie Evans. Survived by: beloved wife of 32 years, Beverly; children from a previous marriage: sons, Mel Barry, Omaha, Kevin, San Rafael, CA, daughter, JoAngela King, Omaha, mother-in-law: Mrs. Paul Morgan, brother-in-law: P.J. Morgan; two grandchildren. A Celebration of His Life pending in Oneonata, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Nebraska Humane Society, 8929 Fort St., Omaha, NE 68134. NO VISITATION.
