Does anyone know if the local newspapers for South Omaha carried the birth, and marriage records that far back?? I know the Omaha Bee newspaper goes way back -- do microfilmed copies of the 1890's exist?? My relatives were just ordinary citizens --- not high society -- so I don't know if their announcements would have even made the papers. Would an announcement of a marriage have been published before or after a wedding???
