Thanks for your reply and for the estimation of the time period--I do appreciate it. I have shown this photo to several Skinner relatives so far, one of whom is a grandchild of Quartus's younger brother Joe. She said she didn't recognize any of the men and I don't feel that any of the men resemble any of the photos that I have of him.

The only other one who looks remotely familiar to me (besides Quartus) is the one on the lower right. I have seen a few photos of a man who could be him in his younger years and am attaching it in hopes that you or someone else might recognize him or the woman. I am also attaching the only photo I have of who I think was Alva Green Skinner (1841-1925), Senior, several of whose grandchildren have the same kind of nose. The only writing on the back of the original photo was "Byron's grandfather." It is not Thomas Morris, so the only other grandfather was Alva Green Skinner.

If there was a picture with women in the family like this one, that would be a great find! I have never seen a photo of Margaret Emily Baker Skinner (1843-1934), wife of Alva Green Skinner Senior (listed incorrectly as H.E. Skinner in 1880 census--A.G. may have sounded like H.E. to the census taker?) and mother of Quartus Monroe Skinner. Nor have I ever seen a photo of Lucy Bell Skinner Dorr, wife of Robert G. Dorr, Sheridan County Judge. If anyone has any of these, I would be really grateful.
