I have a list of all burials in the Riverside Cemetery in Wauneta NE. The list does not include birth and death data, but does include plot number. It's possible that I may be able to find more info if there's someone you're interested in. I also have about 200 pics of tombstones from this cemetery. Will be glad to do lookup.

If you have any with the name of McMills, would appreciate it. There are a lot of McMills. My grandfather had 12 siblings, brothers and sisters, some were Wallace-McMills others Paterson or Patterson McMills. I know of a aunt Maude McMills buried somewhere in Riverside. So anything with the surname McMills would be appreciate it. Just post it here or email it to me.

Please make sure you indicate on the subject line "McMills Graves" other wise I delete mail of names I don't recognize or know of. Once I have cemetery name, and plot, the funeral directors often are helpful in mailing me copies of the memorial arrangements or funeral arrangements. When I call for help to them.

Thank you

Jane Lang died in Wauneta in January 1908. I have her obituary that appeared in the January 9 edition of the Wauneta Breeze. The obituary implys that she was buried at Wauneta. Please do a search of your records for her and any other Lang, especially Benjamin Lang, Jane's husband.
Thank you,
Jack

Jack, I don't show any Langs buried at Riverside. The City of Wauneta has a census for each of the local cemeteries and has been very helpful. Good luck! Beverly

William W. Bell (1847-1930) & Elizabeth J. Lang (1848-1907) buried Imperial NE

I looked at Jane's obit today. I suspect the W.W.Bell mentioned is her son-in-law, rather than her son. I've photoed all of the stones in the Wauneta Riverfside Cemetery. She don't show there. The Wauneta Methodist church might possible show something. I'll see about inquiriing there. I may go to the Riveside cemetery tomorrow. If so, I'll try and check the lists for the nearby cemeteries that are posted on the directory shelter. I have photos of the lists someplace, but try and find them!
Will let you know if I turn up anything.

Jane shows in he 1900 Census for Chase precinct, #34;

I have two William W. Bell's listed. One 1870-1943 is buried in the Hiwawatha Cemetery in Dundy County

The other, 1847-1930, is buried in Imperfial along with his wife, Elizabeth J. LANG 1848-1907
I show children:
BELL, Glen Dye 1895-1900
BELL, Bessie;
m1 1893 Jun 19, Dye, Gilbert
m2 1909 Oct 21, MR#A488, GRIST, Charles
BELL, Marie;
m GRIEST, Charles; (confusion, looks like same person!)
They show in the Census, 1900:Chase#34 & 1910;Wauneta#64

What can you add to our files? Kermit B. Karns

William W. Bell (OH, NE, TX)

William Bell is Jane's son. From family records, the 1900 census where her relationship is mother and the 1860 census for Eden twp, Wyandot Co., Ohio. William B. is living with Benjamin and Jane Lang. The obit also states that she lived with her son W. W. Bell.
I was in Wauneta about a year ago and went to the Methodist Church, all they could tell me was that the two ministers noted in the obit had been at that Church. Went to the cemetery and looked at the directory and no Jane. City offices were closed so I took pictures of all my Ditton relatives stones and departed.
The William Bell at Imperial is the right one. I have Obits for both William and Elizabeth. William died in Texas and was returned to NE to be with Elizabeth. Bessie and Charles Griest went with him. The State of Texas could not provide a death certificate for William. It may be the firm that buried William has a copy.
Thank you for your help and intrest.

Jack Haynes:

William W. Bell's body was handled by the Wauineta Funeral Home; Book C, page 160. Skimpy record. Charged to Masons: $33.00; Apparently buried in ship-in case from San Antonio TX.
Possibly the Funeral Home in San Antonio woujld have more info, but there is no indication here of the name of that home. There were probably dozens of them there at that time..

Thanks much for the info;

Jack: I looked at the directories for the outlying cemeteries
posted at the Wauneta Riverside Cemetery yesterday. Found no LANG names at all.

There are burials of some of the other surnames on your list.

Kermit, Does that list include the Chase cemetery? I have found two relatives that are buried in cemeteries that have no record of them. Think this might be the case with Jane Lang?
