I am looking for the marriage record of Christian Gerhard Dickman to Anna Bergold in Cedar County about 1872-1873. Their first daughter was baptized in 1871 in the Immaculate Conception Church of St. Helena. The parents were not married at that time, I believe. Their second daughter was baptized in 1873 and the parents were listed as married at that time. Gerhard was not Catholic so the couple must have been married at some other church. Can anyone tell me what would have been the next closest non-Catholic church to St. Helena and whether marriage records exist there? THanks, Carrie Taylor
