Father Vincenc James Vanis, born Jan. 7., 1888 Registered for the WWI Draft, living at the time in Garrison, Butler co., NE, wife Julia.
Vincenc or Vincent immigrated to USA, arriving at Ellis Island on June 24, 1893, with father Jan "John", mother Anna, and brother Alois, sailing on board The Dania. Departed Hamburg. Ethnicity is Austrian.
The 1930 census has Henry's middle initial as the letter G as does the burial information. Henry then worked as a farm laborer.
A check of switchboard.com lists six Vanis' living in David City, NE
Hope this helps. Jean
