"Death of Miss Marti
Miss Lydia Marti died at the Omaha Methodist hospital, Saturday, June 25. The deceased left for the hospital Friday, at 2:09 a.m. She was feeling good until after the operation which took place Saturday at 8 a.m. she was called to rest sometime during the day. The body was brought home on the 10:14 p.m. train. The funeral took place from the Evangelical church at ten a.m. Monday which was well attended by friends and neighbors. Rev. Miller and Captain Thompson of the Volunteers, each of them gave a heart and soul stirring talk which brought tears to many eyes. The body was laid at the cemetery, so we extend our hearty thanks to the friends for their sympathy and flowers, as well as their help which we appreciate very much. F. Marti."
