As far as I can tell these women are from the Haven's Chapel/Prairie Center area about 10 miles north of Kearney. I would guess these quilt pieces date about 1942.

Why so late? I am thinking 1930's. They are all young teens in the 1930 census, if I am remembering correctly. I think that one of the girls made the blocks (somewhat poorly) and her friends signed them. Thanks for your input though.

I believe you're right. I was basing this on when one of the older girls married as to the latest date possible. They are from Divide, Center, Rusco, and Thornton townships which ajoin each other north of Kearney. This would probably be a neighborhood group not a church group.
