Nancy J Tracy
Nancy J Helms was born June 9, 1831, in Indiana and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Allen Pitcher, of Ainsworth, Feb 24, 1920 at the age of 88 years, 8 months, 15 days.
She was married to Grisby Tracy who was a member of Co. G, 75 Reg. Indiana Infantry and who was killed during the Civil War. She was the mother of three children, two of whom had preceded her in death, the only surviving being Mrs. Pitcher of this city with whom she had made her home for twenty years.
Two brothers and two sisters also living in Wisconsin survive.
After her husband's death, she came to Wisconsin and thence to Nebraska in 1892. She joined the Methodist church in early life. Furneral services were held at the home of her daughter at 2 p.m. this Thursday afternoon, condected by Rev C M Westlake and interment made in Ainsworth Cemetery.
