I'm looking for any information on Joseph Harvey. Here's what I have so far:

A son of Hezekiah Harvey and Mary Ann Grove. He was born on September 12, 1861 (according to a old family note) in Van Wert, Ohio. He was still living with his parents in 1880 Hoaglin, Van Wert County, Ohio. He went out west to Montana as a hunting guide and had a ranch and kids. The ranch may still be around today.

Joseph Harvey - Age 18; Farm labor; living with parents.

The 1900 census for Great Falls, Cascade County, Montana lists:
Harvey, Joseph, lodger white male, born Sep 1861, age 32 single, born Ohio, both parents born Ohio, day laborer.

The 1920 census for camp 5, Stark, Missuola county, Montana lists:
Harvey, Joseph, Laborer male, white,62 single OH, OH, OH
laborer in a lumber camp.

The General Land Office records for Montana show that a Joseph Harvey filed for a 320 acre homestead in Fergus county 6/3/1918. http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/default.asp

I could not find him in Montana or elsewhere in 1910.

Note the stated age of 32 in 1900 with a birthdate of Sep, 1861.

The Montana death records list a Joseph harvey age 50 who died 9 Sep 1927 in silver Bow county.

Just a note:

The Joseph Harvey that died in Silver Bow Co appears to be on the Rootsweb.com cemetery index (which has a rather complete index of Mt Moriah Cemetery in Butte, Silver Bow Co) with a death year of 1927 and a birth year of 1877. It still could be your man, but that's something to keep in mind.
