Nelson only lived a short time in Judith Gap. His body was shipped back to Ashland wisconsin. Born in Quebec in 1845. Wife was Julia Casey from Rhode Island b. 1852...she passed in 1926 in Seattle and her body was shipped back to Ashland to be with Nelson.
Obit lookup or any knowledge of why this carpenter/builder was in Judith Gap would be much appreciated. Nelson spent most of his life building schools, churches, and hospitals in Northern Wisconsin. Possibly he was helping build a similar structure in Judith Gap???
