I am searching for decedents of H.F.Noyd of Waterloo, Montana. His given name at birth was Hans Frederick. Throughout his life he went by several different names. They include, Henry, Fred, Frederick, and H.F. He was married twice. With his first wife (Alice) he had a son Ray. Ray died in WWI. He remarried a women a lot younger than him named Kathryn. She apparently had a son Wilbur (listed on Census as stepson but later as Wilbur Noyd). They had Fred, Albert, Bertha, and Catherine. I know that Catherine was married and her last name was Kuki. I don't know if any of these children had kids or not. I would like to find any decedents to tell them more about our family. I have a lot of information about the rest of the family. Also I would like obituaries for any of these people. I know that Catherine died in 2004 in Whitehall.

CATHERINE WARD, 86

WHITEHALL--Catherine Alma Kuki WARD of Whitehall died Thursday [28 Oct 2004]at the Butte Convalescent Center in Butte.
Catherine was born in Waterloo and raised on her father's ranch. At 2 years old she became very ill and lost her hearing. She graduated in 1935 from Jefferson County School for the Deaf in Boulder and moved to Portland, Ore. She met Osmo Walter Kuki through a deaf social group in Vancouver, Wash., and married him Aug. 21, 1942. During their active years Catherine and Osmo lived on both sides of the continent and finally retired to Whitehall in 1976. Osmo died in March 1982. Catherine remarried to Michael Brian WARD of Anaconda March 22, 1984.

Catherine is survived by her husband, Michael Ward; sons, Gene and Chester Kuki; and three grandchildren.

Catherine's hobby was painting ceramics, but her greatest pleasure was observing wildlife from her kitchen window. She was able to see all kinds of birds, deer and beaver, and she was fortunate to see a stray moose wander Whitehall's streets.

Memorial services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. from K&L Mortuary Chapel in Whitehall.

Hope this helps. I am not related.

I was privileged to borrow four old photo albums that belonged to my great aunt and uncle, who were deaf. They attended Montana School for the Deaf in the early 1900s. That is where they met. They had many friends, and they were pretty good about identify the people in the photos. I have two scanned copies of snapshots with "Mrs. Noyd" and "Bertha Noyd" identified as being in them. Please feel free to contact me at bonitaolmer @ hotmail.com (remove spaces) if you would like me to email them to you.
