W.G. Barkley was treasurer of Montana 1868-1871. In the 1870 census he and his wife Harriet are in Virginia City, Madison County, Montana. In the 1880 census he is in Deadwood, Dakota, and his wife Harriet is a teacher in Glendale, Beaverhead County. I cannot find either W.G. Barkley or Harriet Barkley after that. She was a Riddlesbarger.
