My name is Peggy Smith, years ago my husband's grandmother had her bible stolden from a family member that was stealing off of her. The front of the bible was loose, it was either brown leather or worn black leather. the edges of the pages at one time was gold but time took most of the gold away. the loose pages in the front had writing of people in our family. the last names would of been smith, brown. some of it ws done in script writing, she also had genuine certificates in it which belonged to our ancestors. if this sounds like the book in which you have, i would like very much to hear from you..
