You might contact Flathead County Library in Kalispell. They have city directories that go way back. Many churches have changed names, moved or no longer exist. Lots of luck!

You might contact Columbia Falls School District or Kalispell School District. Again, this school is on the border of school district boundaries. Records may be at either one. My grandmother taught at Deer Park School in the early 1900's.

You might try to following. I have been in the office and found records myself. They are very helpful. I believe the township is Jocko or Columbia Falls. Deer Park School is probably close to a borderine. Hope this helps. My family is from the area, Bad Rock/Deer Park.
I am checking to see whether my relatives owned property in Flathead County sometime between 1915 and 1925. An old Auction sale states that they lived 5 miles east and 7 miles north of Kalispell, or 1 1/2 miles west and 1/2 mile south of Deer Park School. Would anyone know what township this was in and if any plat maps are available for this time period?

Please reread the biography. I believe you have misread/misinterpreted the following:

James B. Morrow came to Halifax as a boy and there passed the remainder of his life, dying in 1882 when he was fifty-five years old.

This would indicate that James B. Morrow was born ca 1827; not that his son Arthur died in 1919.

In the late 1880s, Louise travelled West by train with her sister, Margaret to find husbands. Margaret married John Davies in Durango, CO. We have no specific record of Louise ater that, until 1920. I know that at some time she bought a ranch outside of Billings because she asked my father to put it up for sale in 1948. At that time, she had contracted cancer, and was living in California. I am trying to find out when she may have bought it, and how long she lived there. She never married. At this point, I don't even know where to begin to look, and would even appreciate guidance.

I wanted to point out a spelling error in the last name "Domek" - I noticed in the ebook it was spelled "Donek" with an "n" and it was actually an "m." It is a name that means "little hut" or something in Polish, or so I was told.

My dad never knew his grandfather because his mother said he was crazy. I have hit a dead end. James C. Williams was supposedly born in Texas 12 Feb 1868. In 1892 he married Viola Bray (1870-1951) in Kalispell,Flathead Montana. They had children, one of which was my grandmother Leila Williams born 27 April 1897 in Havre Hill Montana. Info on James C. Williams would be great.

I am attempting to find the obituaries for Ernal R. McElhaney who died in Kalispell according to the MT. Death Index April 13, 1945. Also, his son Clarence A. McElhaney died March 4, 1963 in Kalispell. I checked the newspaper archieves and was not successful. I know that Clarence and wife, Marjorie lived in this area for several years. I would be most grateful for any help.
Thank YOU
MDicks5999@verizon.net

Thanks for replaying to both of you.
Yes I think you have found the correct John and Alfred in the 1900 census. Their father passed away in 1894, and than the children was located on different farms as "hired hands". The paying was food, shelter and clothes.
I think this is David in the same census http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/WebCens.exe?slag=visbase&am....

I preciate the obityary from the newspaper.
Also at the age of 66 in 1917, he was enlisted into the Canadian forces. Which again funny, because I have been in the forces since 2001. Check out the following link.

www.canadiangreatwarproject.com/searches/soldierDetail.asp?I......

Please,if you can, give any info on the other family members that you have.

He was my great great grandfather. I just started research on my family tree. His dad I believe to have immigrated form Ireland to grosse ile, Quebec. When the Irish arrived in Quebec they were quarantined, there is only one Harrigan, n all those years that immigrated, his name is Robert.

I know he was a postmaster and many of his children were born in Kalispell. His wife was also born in Quebec. I find it funny, I currently reside in Quebec, completed a circle.

I know around 1920 he died, Charles's daughter, Maude Jane Harrigan is my great grandmother. She married a Noel Kelsey on 1 jan 1917 in Spokane Washington. They lived in British Columbia,Canada. They had three kids, olive, Geraldine Spencer and Theodore Franklyn. The two latter were twins born on 28 oct 1919/1920. After the kids they moved to grosse ile,MI. I believe between 1920-1930' because a census that I found has a 1930 date
