In the "The Daily Inter Lake", Kalispell, Montana, issues of March 6, 13, 20, and 27, 1931 show a Summons In the District Court of the Fourth Judicial District of the State of Montana in and for the County of Missoula Gertrude E. Gillespie, Plaintiff, vs. Roy J. Gillespie. If he failed to respond or appear, by default, she would be granted a divorce.

On 10 Oct 1931 a marriage license was issued and the marriage took place the same date in Missoula, Missoula, Montana for:

John Hagen, age 48, residing Missoula, born Cedarvalley, Skagit, Washington, divorced, father Pete Hagen, mother not named

Gertrude Gillespie, age 27, residing Missoula, born Boston, Massachusetts, father Fred Maud, mother Lillian Young

married by Justice of the Peace Ward H. James
witnesses were Mrs. Artie M. Green and J. A. James

Extracted from "The Daily Inter Lake"; Kalispell, Montana; March 11, 1932

Mrs. Edyth G. Hagen, wife of John Hagen, passed away at the home of her mother, Mrs. Dan Glynn, at Whitefish, last evening. The body was taken to the Sherman and Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will probably be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Whitefish, but a definite announcement will be made later.

In "The Daily Inter Lake"; Kalispell, Montana; June 3, 1948, there is a notice of probate of Will in the matter of the estate of John Hagen, and a hearing of the application of Ada May Kolizeras for the issuance to her of Letters Testamentary. In the 1940 census I note that Jacqueline was listed as a ward of Ada May's.

I hope this information proves helpful for you.
