The ship's manifest said Peder's brother was in Summers (actually, it is Somers). In Ancestry, I found Peder Hanson, age 25, born Norway, having made application 1 Apr 1909 to homestead in Alberta province, Canada. Peder's residence at the time of application in 1909 was Somers, Montana. The application listed his previous occupation as lumberman.
Since Severin was in Canada until 1915 (went from Lethbridge to Washington state and then ended up in Oregon), it is possible Peder settled around the Lethbridge area.
When Peder emigrated, the police protokoll lists him as Peder Hansen Lindstad. Could he have taken Lindstad as his new surname?
I found where Peder was baptized in Stange parish, Hedmark (priest did note that he was born in Eidsvoll parish) and that he had a twin, Karl.
I'll keep doing some digging. I hope this information proves helpful.
