Wendy

My wife is a descendant of Kate Ethel Pennecard, sister of Vere, Aquila, Adelaide Ella and Laura. I am assuming that the Pennecards in your area are related to one of these siblings. My wife was born and raised in Rome, New York. We have some interesting photos of the family, including the patriarch, George. I would appreciate exchanging information.

Bill

my grandmother was sister to Vere, Aquila (born 1862), etc. I might have info that you find interesting, and perhaps you have some that would be of interest to me?

Dear Paul Buckley. Thank you for your speedy reply. What is your relationship? My grandmother was Tryphene Olive Pennecard who was born in Membury, Devon (UK) 20 Jul 1884. She married (28 Sep 1909 in Camberwell, London) Waldemar Larsen (who was born somewhere in Denmark in 1885 and died 16 Jan 1933 in St. Giles Hospital, London). They had seven children - the youngest was my uncle Jasper Otto Larsen, born 1922, and killed in Blackheath, London along with his mother on the 19th March 1941 as a result of enemy action (the Germans dropped a bomb on their home where many were present to say 'goodbye' to a son who was due to return back to the war zone in Europe).
Does anyone have any details of Tryphene's brothers/sisters etc who immigrated into the USA, and/or any family 'photos? (Or better still, a family tree that I can add to my own attempts!). On the USA side I only know that (one of Tryphene's nine brothers and sisters) Adelaide Ella Pennecard (born Membury, Devon 09 Mar 1873) died somewhere in the USA sometime in the 1940's. I am only aware of this because she kindly left a very handsome sum to my Mother in her Will, enabling my mother/father to purchase a home in London during the otherwise austere times of the 1940’s. Both remained in this home until eventual decease in the 1990’s. I trust this memo is of interest to you, and any others whose contributions of information I will appreciatively receive. Dear Bill VanDuser, Your memo was six+ years ago, so you may not be available here any more. You mention Kate Ethel Pennecard (she was born Membury, Devon (UK) 08 Jan 1876) - she was my grandmother's sister. I have added another memo to these pages, so you may care to view and respond?
