I am seeking information about Elijah R. STUART. According to Civil Wart pension papers he was living in New Lyme, Ashtabula, Ohio following the war (1865) until 1881 and returning in 1899. He was married to Emogene R. Marsh b. Abt. 1835. They had an "adopted" daughter, Burnice R. Reed.
Between 1881 and 1899 he (or they) went to Montana. During the war he was a POW and spent close to two years in Danville Prison, VA.
