Meant to also mention that you can follow from William back to his father, Patrick, and his second wife, Anne. Patrick was brother to my Bridget (Stewart) Hastings ancestor. They came in from County Mayo Ireland as best I can tell (near Westport possibly). Patrick, his nephew Thomas Hastings, and two of his sons were all in the Civil War together.
