Karla:
I thought that I'd sent this to you before, but can't find any record so am sending it again, just in case.
The source of my information is the book "Descendants of Jacob Hoots" written by by uncle, Carl Hoots, of Yadkinville, North Carolina.
According to Carl's book, Charles Henry Hoots was the son of Dr. John Wesley Hoots and his first wife, Kezia Allen. John married Kezia in 1871 and she died in 1881; she was the daughter of Dr. Allen of Douglas County, Missouri. John and Kezia had four children, including the youngest, Charles Henry, who was born 8 March 1881 and died in December 1969.
John then married Amanda Nellie Elizabeth Riley on 19 July 1887 and they had six children.
Charles Henry Hoots' half brother, Marion Franklin, was born 19 July 1895 in Topaz, Douglas County, Missouri (date of death not shown). He married Opal Ruby Reed 5 March 1922 in Douglas County, where she was born 15 October 1904 (no date of death shown), and they had four children.
Carl's book also includes the following, from a letter to Carl from Violet Johnson: "On the farm in Wright Co. MO, that my Granddad Hoots owned, is a Private Cemetery. The following are buried in the cemetery: John Wesley Hoots; Kezia Allen, his first wife; Willie, their first child, died in infancy; Mary Jane, first child of John Wesley Hoots and Amanda Nellie Elizabeth Riley, died when about 2 years old; Dr. and Mrs. Allen, parents of Kezia Allen; Dave Siebolt, no relative, don't know why he is buried there."
Hope this is helpful.
