I AM attempting to find out what happened to my husband’s grandmother, BRITTANIA YOUNGBLOOD, b 1878 Carroll Co., AR, dau. of William Randolph YOUNGBLOOD and Martha Jane MATTOX.

Brittania was m 10 Mar 1895 to William J. WITHERSPOON in Carroll Co. They had two daughters, both born in Blue Eye, Minerva b Dec 1895 and Pearl b 1898.

When Pearl was very young, probably about 1900-1901, Britannia left Wm. J. and took Minerva and Pearl. Wm J. somehow got the girls back and raised them to maturity. We do not know what happened to Brittania.

Brittania's parents, Wm. R. YOUNGBLOOD & M.J. MATTOX divorced in 1881. The mother, Martha J. MATTOX m. John AVERY in 1883 and they had seven children: Thelma Alice b. 1884, m. John Hanks; Rosinna b 1886, m Willis Carpenter; Abbie b 1888, m Orville Miles; Charley b 1889, m Arvilla Coady; Johnnie b 1895, m Cora Plott; Cenia Ollivia who died at age 10 in 1900; and Grover Cleveland b 1893 and died as a child.

Are there descendants of any of these people, or another researcher, who might be able to give me a clue?
