John S. Reed was married to Rhoda Gentry who was born about 1830 in, I think, Warrick County, Indiana. I do not know if she loved in the Missouri Bootheel or not. John was listed as the father on Lavivia Reeds death certificate. He also was listed as father on my great grandfather Alfred Jackson Reeds death certificate. No mother was listed on either certificate so Johns grandchildren did not of his wife's identity.
