On the marriage license of my great-great-grandparents, Charles Creameans and Agnes Burton, it says they were both from Poplin, MO. I thought at first it might have meant Joplin, but it definitely says Poplin and I've seen other marriage licenses that indicate the couple was from Poplin. Does anyone know where Poplin is or was? Was it abandoned, did the name change, or was Poplin an area rather than a town?
