Arie Fields Sawyer age 89, died Tuesday, April 21, 1992, at Riverbend Nursing Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 24, 1992, at the Hill Funeral Home, Grand Blanc, Rev. James Hatfield officiating. Burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Suggested visitation 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. today. Mrs. Sawyer was born in Dexter, Missouri January 15, 1903, to Elisha and Alice (Riddle) Fields. She was a Burton resident most of her life. She was united in marriage to Thomas W. Sawyer December 2, 1938, in Angola, Indiana. Mrs. Sawyer had attended Central Baptist Church. She retired in 1963 from Buick Motor Division after 39 1/2 years of service. She was preceded in death by: parents, and 2 brothers, Houston Fields and Leonard.

Leonard Clarence Fields, 22 N. Shirley, Pontiac, age 52, died May 17, Tuesday, May 20, 1941, at 2 p.m., Voorhees Funeral Home, Pontiac, Michigan. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, Pontiac, Michigan. Body will be at the funeral home. He was a barber and lived in Pontiac for 11 years. Surviving are: wife Alice, brother Huston Fields of Puxico, Missouri, sisters, Mrs. Viola Smith of Dexter, Missouri, Mrs. Arie Sawyer of Flint, no children.
