I wonder if any of your readers may have information pertaining to the death of my father, Dayton Lee TURNER.

Dayton was born on 27 Aug 1904 at Farmington, St. Francois County, MO. I do not know the names of his parents (my grandparents) or his siblings, if any. After he grew up, he lived most of his life in the City of St. Louis. I understand that he was murdered in that city - during the 1960's or 1970s, exact date unknown.

He and my mother, Anna Ruth HAMMOND, were married on 18 Sep 1928 in St. Louis and I was born on 4 Jul 1929. I have had no contact with him since my parent's divorce in 1934. I have heard that the St. Louis Post Dispatch ran a story about his murder. However, I do not have any idea of the date of his death and am finding it very difficult locating a copy of his Death Record and Cemetery where he is buried. I have tried to gather information from the Recorder of Deeds at St. Louis but have had no success to date.

I need information regarding his death and the names of his parents and siblings who may have continued to live out their lives in Farmington, St. Francois County, MO.

Any help you can provide will be appreciated.
