Obituary for John C. DeFee
1878 - 8 May 1936
Texarkana, Bowie County, Texas


JOHN C. DEFEE

John C. DeFee, 57, of 418 Spruce Street, died Thursday
in a local hospital after a lengthy illness.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Faye DeFee; two sons,
Maurice DeFee and Lamar DeFee, all of Texarkana; one
daughter, Mrs. Miriam Bean of St. Louis, Mo., two
brothers, H.F. DeFee and W.J. DeFee, both of Texarkana,
three sisters, Mrs. Maude Farley of Taylor, Texas, Mrs.
Samuel H. Hightower and Mrs. G.H. Adams, both of
Texarkana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday from
the Paul Reverra Funeral chapel, with the Rev. Walter L.
Cannan officiating.
Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be; A.C. Lee, Joe Barkman, Ennis
Bryan, Sid Baxter, M.L. Watson, and J.P. Parker.

Honorary pallbearers will include, A.C. Davis, R.T. Shipp,
H.E. Rape, J.N. Runnels, P.A. DeMarce, F.J. Sontag, W.T.
Cook, R.C. Creekmore, Grover Barkman, James Buck, R.Q.
Harmon, Steve Raffaelli, A.C. Allen and W.T. James.
