Hello, I'm new around here, and my family and I are looking for our Grandmother Madelyn Mae Smith.

I was having a bit of a problem with the ancestry.com Birth records however, because I myself am not listed as having been born in St. Louis, MO. My father isn't listed either.

Am I missing something? Are ancestry.com's records that sparse? Some people exist and some don't?
