Walter Donald Callahan, 73, of Park Hills, passed away March 4, 2002, at Parkland Health Center, South in Farmington. He was born Nov. 12, 1928, at Avon, son of the late Wiley and Minnie "Merritt' Callahan. Also preceded by one son, Donald Callahan; one grandson, Justin Callahan; one daughter-in-law, Diana Lynn Callahan.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice "Hoff' Callahan of Park Hills; one grandson, Dylan Callahan and wife, Deanna of Park Hills; two great-granddaughters, Lauren and Courtney Callahan of Park Hills; four sisters: Marie and husband, Herman Schaefer of Farmington; Dorothy Dane of Park Hills; Lulabelle and husband, Don Cousin of California; Maryann and husband, James Whiteside of West Plains; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Caldwell Memorial Chapel in Park Hills. Funeral services 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Caldwell Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dwight Bradley officiating. Burial, Adams Cemetery in Frankclay.
