Mrs. Fannie CALLAHAN passed away at four o'clock Tuesday afternoon, July 28, at the home of her son, Elmer CALLAHAN in Bismarck. She had been in failing health two years, but was seriously ill only a few days. She was 69 years of age.
Funeral services were conducted at ten o'clock Thursday morning at the Bismarck Methodist Church by the Rev. J. N. Ware, followed by burial in Masonic cemetery.
Fannie Emmeline Freeman was born June 28, 1867, in Texas County, Missouri. In 1888 at Houston, Missouri, she was married to David CALLAHAN, who preceded her in death on January 13, 1935. They were the parents of six children, one son, Charles, having been killed in a railroad accident in 1918.
Surviving are two daughters and three sons: Mrs. Jessie Williams of Chicago; Mrs. Dolly Stewart of St. Louis; George of Flat River; Grover and Elmer of Bismarck. Also fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
On November 2, 1902, the deceased moved with her husband to Bismarck, where she has since resided. She united with the Methodist Church under the leadership of Rev. Stewart, and was a loyal and devoted member.
She will be sadly missed by her loved ones.
