Mrs. Myrtle
Graves Asher, daughter of the late
Ellis and Nellie
Marler Graves, was born near Elvins, December 23, 1901, and died in
Bonne Terre Hospital, Thursday, January 4, 1962, aged 60 years 11 days. She was a resident of Elvins [St. Francois County, MO].
Her hsuband,
Luther E. Asher, two sons and a brother, Richard
Graves, preceded her in death, the latter having died only three weeks ago, in
Indiana. Surviving are a daughter, Golda (Mrs. Gilbert) Edgar of Desloge; two sons,
Glenwood E. Asher of Elvins
Route 1, and Ernest
Graves of St. Louis; two half-sisters, Mrs. Irene
Moore of Elvins and Mrs. Lucille
Leftridge of DeSoto; a half-brother, Roy
Radford of Pevely, and six grandchildren, besides other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, January 8, at the Assembly of God Church in Iron Mountain, conducted by the Rev. Elbert
Mason. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Bismarck. Raymond
