Adam Woolledge's father, Samuel, was the brother to Frederick Woolledge. Frederick and Matilda Kirkman Woolledge were the parents of my greatgrandfather Samuel Turl Woolledge. Adam's and Samuel's parents were Adam and Nancy Woolledge. Adam was born in England and emigrated to the US with his parents, Adam and Jane Woolledge and at least 1 brother, Thomas, sometime between 1840 and 1850. In the 1850 census of Louisiana they are living in Jefferson Parish, Lafayette 1st Ward and at that time Adam thier son is not living with them but Thomas is along with a John Kenneday age 25 b. England and an Ellen McCarty age 10 also born in England. In the 1860 census in Missouri Thomas is living with Adam and Nancy, both Adam and Thomas claim England as place of birth Nancy claims Missouri. If you are interested in shareing info on this family please contact me directly. Sharon

I came across a post by Sharon Wallin regarding Matilda Woolledge. My name is Jerry Woolledge, my fathers name was Robert Woolledge, his fathers name was William Woolledge and his parents names were Fred Woolledge and Matilda (Kirkman) Woolledge. Until seeing this post I had no information beyond my great grandparents names. In the post Ms Wallin asked to be contacted directly regarding this family, however, the email I sent was returned as an invalid email address. I would be grateful if anyone having information on the Woolledge family would contact me. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Hello:
I just found your posting on the web as being a descendant of Fred Woolledge and Matilda Kirkman. My husband is a descendant also, through their daughter Marshie/Martha May Woolledge who married Michael John Schoen/Shay. The family name of Schoen was changed in the early 1920's. May died before her mother, so she's not listed in the obituary. I've got their descendants and the Kirkman line, which is pretty well documented.
Any help would be appreciated.
