Ellen Norris

PARK HILLS - Ellen Norris, 83, of Park HILLS, passed away Sept. 11, 2000, at Parkland Health Center. She was born Sept. 3, 1917, in Farmington, daughter of the late Roy and Freda "Brockmiller' Gruner. Also preceded by husband, Raymond "Shorty" Norris; three brothers: Lee, R.P. and John H. Gruner and one sister, Alice Karsch.

Member of First United Methodist Church, Park HILLS and a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years.

Survived by three children: Dennis and wife, Leann Norris of Bonne Terre; Phillip and wife, Patricia Norris of Farmington; Fred and husband, Richard Smith of Desloge; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruby Dreibelbiss of Farmington; special niece, Katie McMullen of St. Louis; nephew, Steven "Buddy" Sutton of Longview, Texas; also other nieces, nephews, and other relatives survive.

Visitation will be Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Horton-Wampler Memorial Chapel with Rev. Eddie Bone officiating. Burial in Knights of Pythias in Farmington. Memorials: First United Methodist Church in Park HILLS.
