ROBERT E. RION

Robert Earl Rion, son of John Rion and Maude Crawford Rion, was born in Farmington, Jan. 25, 1907, and died in a fire in St. Louis, Thursday, Feb. 21, 1963, at the age of 56 years 16 days.

He was united in marriage to Imogene Stevenson, and they were the parents of a son, Robert Earl. Later he was married to Vera Mae Harper, and to this union a daughter, Donna Katheryn, was born. He is survived by his wife, daughter, son, three brothers: Warren Rion of Farmington; John Rion, Belleville, Ill, and Howard Rion, Chillicothe, Mo., and five sisters: Nola (Mrs. C. L.) Hinkle, Bonne Terre; Margaret (Mrs. Ray) Kollmeyer, Velma (Mrs. Paul) Lober, Dorothy (Mrs. Ted) Westmeyer and Louise (Mrs. Werth) Cottam, all of Farmington.

He also leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Rion of Farmington Route 2; and four step-children: Wm. Birch, Mrs. Carolyn Crick and John Harper, all of St. Louis, and Howard Harper of Ste. Genevieve.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, Feb. 23, at the Cozean Funeral Home in Farmington, conducted by the Rev. Wm. Burke of St. Joseph's Church. Interment was in Hill View Memorial Gardens.
