Army, 26 April 1944, a Bronze Star is awarded to Private First Class Roy V. Roth, Infantry, U.S. Army, for meritorious service in support of operations against the enemy in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and Czechoslovakia. During the period 8 June 1944 to 9 May 1945, Private First Class
Roth distinguished himself by the initiative efficency and devotion to duty which he displayed as Company Cook's Helper. His meritorious service was in accordance with military tradition. Entered service from
Missouri.

Service since April 3, 1942 and has spent 15 months overseas in
Europe. He formerly lived at
Cantwell, Mo., before moving to Ste. Genevieve.
