EDGAR E. MAURICE

Edgar E. Maurice of Pevely was born December 19, 1899, in Ste. Genevieve County, Mo., and died March 1, 1972, at his residence in Pevely at the age of 72. He was a son of the late Vital Maurice and Elizabeth (LaPlante) Maurice.

His wife, Willa (Hlomes [sic]) Maurice preceded him in death.

Surviving are: four children, Mildred (Mrs. Robert Sarley) of Chicago, Ill., Jean (Mrs. Joe Stimpel) of Lemay, and William and Jim Maurice both of St. Louis; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Kirk of Flat River, and Mrs. Gladys Hasse of Bonne Terre; one brother, Leo Maurice of Desloge; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. at Caldwell's Chapel, Flat River; Rev. V. E. Defreece officiated and interment was at Salem cemetery under the direction of Caldwell Funeral Services, Flat River.
