JOHN T. CALLAHAN

John T. Callahan was born in Crawford County, Missouri on January 1, 1878, and departed this life at his home, 1421 E. Main, Flat River, on February 3, 1950, aged 72 years 1 month 7 days. He was a retired miner.

On September 16, 1900 he was united in marriage to Miss Rosa Neff of Hamilton, Mo. To this union four children were born, one of whom preceded his father in death. The family moved to the Lead BELT in 1920 and this has been their home for 30 years.

He leaves to mourn his departure his devoted companion, three children, Theodore Callahan, Esther, Mo.; Harold Callahan, at home; and Frances (Mrs. Ted) Branham, Cantwell. Also surviving are five brothers, four sisters, two grandchildren, Billy Joe Callahan and Mrs. Alice Rose Oder, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Callahan was a good father, husband, and neighbor and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Flat River, conducted by Rev. Arthur R. Hicks. Interment was in St. Francois Memorial Park. C.Z. Boyer & Son Service
