Chester "Check" Aubuchon of Cadet, Missouri was born at Bonne Terre, on December 22, 1929, the son of the late Firman and Stella (Morris) Aubuchon. He departed this life at the Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington, Missouri Thursday, August 1, 2002 having reached the age of seventy-two years, eight months and ten days.

Chester was united in marriage to Martha Coleman on February 14, 1953 in Old Mines, Missouri and to this union four children were born.

He is survived by his wife Martha Aubuchon of Cadet; one daughter, Theresa Nix and husband Shannon of Pontiac, Michigan; three sons, Alan Aubuchon and wife Nan of Cadet; David Aubuchon and wife Candie of Paducah, Kentucky and Edward Aubuchon and wife Lisa of Cadet; two brothers, Bryant Aubuchon and wife Pat, and Pete Aubuchon and wife Catherine, all of Bonne Terre, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; Ruth Aubuchon of Bone Terre and Alice Aubuchon of Dittmer, Missouri; son-in-law, Scott Craig of Desloge and daughter-in-law Stacey Aubuchon of Mineral Point.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by five sisters; Irene Archambo, Mary Hammack, Annie Keen, Margaret Aubuchon and Eula Aubuchon and four brothers, Jessie, Cletus, Fred and Wendell Aubuchon.

Check enjoyed many things in life. He loved to watch baseball on T.V. and his favorite teams to watch were the Cardinals and the Cubs. Check enjoyed hunting all types of animals and loved to visit with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation was held Sunday, August 4, 2002 from 5 to 9 P.M. and Monday, August 5, 2002 from 8:30 to 10 A.M. at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A funeral mass was celebrated Monday, August 5, 2002 at 11 A.M. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bonne Terre, Missouri with Father John Schneider celebrating. Music for the Mass was provided by Mark Farrell. Burial was in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with Shawn Craig, Bradley Craig, Cody Aubuchon, David Aubuchon, Vernon Bourbon and Jason Mesey serving as pallbearers. Arrangements were under the direction of the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
