Edna: I've been looking through the Pigg Family for a Preston Pigg. I have a quote from the book, The Williams Genealogy by C. L. Duvall which states, "Mary Williams was twice married. First, to Preston PIGG". From the F. M. Williams' day book (Diary), I find the following, "July 30, 1857 - - stayed with Mr. Applebey's overnight, eight miles from Greenfield. (Dade Co., MO) At evening about sunset, July 31, I reached Uncle Charles' (Ross). Saturday, August 1st, stayed at Uncle's until noon; then Cousins Paul and Melinda PIGG, Mary and Sarah Ross and I went to the debate at Richfield School House; then, returned to Uncles. Mount Vernon........" This is the only information I have on the PIGG Family but thought it might help someone. Yours was the only Pigg Family I found with the given name of Preston.
