No, you're not confusing me. I think Eliza Hoffman is Elizabeth Scarsdale. Her maiden name was Wells, then married Wood. He died in 1895, young, and then in her hometown paper, she was referred to as Mrs. Harbaugh. Then in 1905 on she is referred to as Mrs. Scarsdale. I think she married a Virgil Harbaugh in OK between 1895 and 1905. Virgil is in 1900 Kingfisher, OK census living between her sister's family and her brother's family. She is in Pocahontas county, IA, visiting her mother. So I'm wondering if it is a visit or she's left Virgil.

Then in 1941 when her brother passes away, intestate, her children get her share. Which proves she passes away beteen 1930 and 1941, but to make it more interesting, there is another child listed - Frank Hoffman. I don't/can't figure out where/when she had time to have another marriage, child, and a divorce/death. She must have been a busy lady. So Eliz is driving me crazy!
