Joseph Charles Scarsdale was my Great-Grandfather. I too have been searching for additional information on his second wife, Elizabeth M. Hoffman. Most of what I have has already been discussed here, i.e., that they were married in Fairdealing in Ripley County on 28 Jun 1905, her middle initial appears to have been "M." and that she may have been born in Iowa about 1870.

Something I haven't seen discussed here is that she was also known as "Libbie" Scarsdale during the time she was married to my Great-Grandfather. They ran a general store in Fairdealing and may have also ran a grocery store in nearby Harviell at one time as well.
