In the 1860 Census I find 4 Tilly children living with these other families. In 1870 the Loven family is the only one I can find anywhere, and they are still in Current River, with Doniphan as the Post Office.
In 1860 these are the names of the children and the head of the families, and their location. Too bad the enumerator only used initials...
J. Tilly 15 - S.A Howell Harris (PO Martinsburg)
M. Tilly 9 - S.S. or L.L. Ketchum Harris (PO Martinsburg)
L.R. 6 and J.S 6 - E.T Lovin Current River (PO Doniphan)

Mary Tilly was my great-great-grandmother. I believe the other 3 to be her brothers. LR and Steve (JS) are found living with or next to her in later records in Texas and Oklahoma. I believe the oldest boy to have been James, who moved to Arkansas.
I would love to be able to find out who their parents were, why they were split up, and if these other families are related.
