We are searching for any old photographs that may have been taken inside the St. George Hotel (was also known as Exchange Hotel,
Perkins House or Hotel, Hotel
Weston)or copies of letters/post cards mentioning the hotel. It was built in 1845 and at first catered to traveling men, steamboat captains & wagon masters. In 1860 I believe G.W. Dye, formerly of
Kentucky, was the hotel keeper. In 1870, the hotel keeper was John
Throckmorton.
Any information on the place would be greatly appreciated.
